National Yes Registry update 24 July 19.30
Jason Baird will bring us up to date on the National Yes Registry and answer your questions. He will describe how the grass-roots are coming together across Scotland in preparation for Independence campaigning. In particular, he will describe the networking platform tool ‘the IndyApp’ – the NYR’s concrete response to the many practical problems commonly encountered at grass-root level by Yessers during the heat of IndyRef1. The current version allows communication between individual members of a group, communication as a group and finally, communication between all groups at a national level, and is ready for all groups to start using now. He will also discuss how to use the platform to initiate and organise campaigns. All welcome! Function room of the Doocot, 731 Ferry Rd, Edinburgh EH4 2UA

December 2016 meeting: Andy Wightman on Land, Democracy and the Economy
For our final meeting of 2016 on Mon 5 December, we are delighted to have Green MSP, Andy Wightman, to speak on the extremely topical subjects of Land, Democracy and the Economy. A few days ago on Wed 30 Nov 2016 in the Scottish Parliament, Andy proposed the following motion on local democracy (with splendidly plain wording)
The Final Report from the Commission on strengthening local democracy was published in August 2014 and can be downloaded from their website. At the time it was widely endorsed by political parties including the SNP and the Conservatives. However both these parties put forward “wrecking” amendments to Andy’s motion on Wednesday. Get ready for the National Yes Registry IndyApp! « Wee Ginger Dug
Guest post by Jason Baird of the National Yes Registry
Hello Wee Ginger Duggers and thank you so much to the WGD (and Paul of course) for allowing me this opportunity to describe what the National Yes Registry IndyApp project is all about before we finally launch it for public download on September the 18th. The IndyApp is a bespoke networking tool for the Yes movement. It is FREE to all participating groups and designed to allow those grass-root groups to work effectively together, share resources, experience and campaigning ideas. It will allow mentoring and mutual support among pro-Indy activists, encourage new community groups to form and dormant groups to reform.
